DANGERS OF "MERCURY" AMALGAM DENTAL FILLINGS
In depth interviews about the poisonous effects of silver colored fillings and why consumers should say NO.
The American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Association deceptively call them "silver," they are really 50% MERCURY, a known neurotoxin.

This provocative and controversial subject will reach 3 million viewers when Catherine E. Pugh, an investigative journalist, interviews local activists, a Swedish journalist and professor of biochemistry about the serious illnesses and symptoms attributed to Mercury exposure from commonly used dental fillings. Mercury, the second most toxic non-radioactive element on the face of this earth is being eliminated or limited by government agencies from all products, including thermometers, vaccines, contact eye solution, car switches, medical devices such as blood pressure machines, florescent light bulbs, coal refinery emissions, and consumption of fish, yet the American Dental Association maintains that it is safe in dental fillings placed directly into the body.
Sweden is on the edge of banning the use of dental amalgam says Elisabet Carlsson, project coordinator for the Swedish Foundation for Metal Biology and a survivor of Multiple Sclerosis. Several other countries including the UK, Japan, Austria, Norway, France, Switzerland, and Germany have issued warnings for the vulnerable populations of children, pregnant women and those with kidney disease. The Environmental Protection Agency considers Mercury in dental fillings to be poison before being placed into the body and hazardous waste when removed comments Dr. Eugene Nau, assistant professor of biochemistry at Kutztown University. Considering the fact that the Food and Drug Administration has permitted mercury amalgams to be used for over 160 years without ever having tested it for safety and efficacy, advocates for mercury free dentistry question the reliability of our governmental health agencies to protect the consumer. In fact, after years of raging debate, public outrage has pressured the FDA and National Institute of Health to fund million dollar studies to review and analyze the possible toxic effects and serious illnesses linked to mercury dental fillings. One wonders how much longer the public will be kept in the dark and used as guinea pigs by an industry which refuses to accept years of scientific documentation. Freya Koss, Wynnewood resident and Director of Development for Consumers for Dental Choice, a national non-profit organization promoting the abolishment of mercury dental amalgam, questions governmental agencies' and the dental industry's motivation, in what she views, as not protecting the public, "what happened to the Precautionary Principal, Do No Harm when there is no scientific proof that a product is safe."
The audience will hear personal accounts of recovery from Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Fatigue, Lupus, depression, and various neurological symptoms after amalgam filling removal. Carol Ward, VP of Dental Amalgam Mercury Syndrome (DAMS), a national non-profit support organization, will share her story as a survivor and activist as well as avenues for help.
